If you want to pay for a service I would recommend you Netflix where you actually get some value for your money.
I mean if you actually pay for a service and as a reward you get bombarded with ads Its 20 bugs and during recording your computer can usually not be used for doing anything else. Personally I can recommend you Audials Moviebox, I made very good results with that.
Also you would have to pay if you want a good output. Yes I agree the only working solution (I guess) is to use a screen recorder for that. Yes, there are always other ways to get episodes, but talking about that puts us in an area where this website does not approve. Downloading to anything and watching later is not supported under Hulu Plus. You can count on 90 seconds of adds with every break in the video.

I think Hulu Plus gives you access to some shows you can't get for free and high definition streaming, but it has the drawback of more adds than you can believe for a paid service. Doing such is probably a violation of Hulu's terms of service so my advice should not be construed as actually encouraging you to do that if doing so violates their TOS where you live. You'd have to record in real time so a 30 minute show takes 30 minutes to record. Typically in this case a person would to have to use a streaming media recorder like Replay Video Catcher and save the output to a file.
